Allison Carothers is stepping up to the task.
Allison Carothers
Owner/Manager
of Summer Classics at Westport Village
Greatest accomplishment: “My little boy Camden who is four and my family. I am also career-oriented
and proud of the store.”
Whose footsteps are you following in? “My parents. They've been entrepreneurs and business owners for 32
years.”
Where do you like to walk? “Beckley Creek Park. It has a huge walking path and bike path, dog
parks, and playgrounds for kids.”
Do you always walk the straight and narrow or
do you stray sometime? If so, when? “I am
more of a strayer. I'm very logistical so I like to just get it done and maybe
not go through all of the procedures you might need to follow.”
Have you ever walked alone when it came to a
way of thinking or something you were fighting for? “Typically, outdoor furniture in the Louisville market has been
displayed in a warehouse setting, and we focus on making it an extension of
your house and really customizing the furniture for your lifestyle. We focus on
how it makes you feel. The furniture is not an afterthought; it is a part of
their house.”
