October 21 - Top Picks for the Week


Here's some things you should check out this week...

Louisville Metro Parks & Recreation is hosting public meetings about the Olmsted Parkways Shared Use Path preliminary line and grade plan, a bicycle/pedestrian improvement project.
The first one is this week - October 22, 6pm to 8pm at Southern Star Baptist Church, 2304 Algonquin Parkway. See the master plan here.

Frankfort Avenue will host the last Food Truck Sunday of the season on  October 27 from 11am-4pm. The event will include fare from local food trucks and a mini farmer's market on the lawn of St. Joe's Children's Home, 2823 Frankfort Avenue. Retailers along Frankfort Avenue will host trick or treating, and attendees are encouraged to bring non-perishable food items to donate to the United Crescent Hill Ministries food pantry.

If you thought you knew the story of The Princess and the Pea, you may be in for a walloping surprise when Sacred Heart Academy and Sacred Heart School for the Arts present, Once Upon a Mattress, beginning October 25 at the Ursuline Arts Center.

BOONANZA at the Science Center on October 26-27, 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.
