Given the theme of this week – helping you help others, per our Best For You 2014 category winners – we thought it might be helpful for our readers to know about places they can volunteer around Louisville. Helping others doesn't necessarily mean only people: If you're an animal lover (like some on our Today's Woman staff!) there are several places around town where you can volunteer for furry friends.
As our number one pick for helping others in our Best For You voting, the Kentucky Humane Society takes the cake. However, here are some other animal organizations in Louisville that could use your help, too:
