3 ways to reuse your leather jacket for spring

Erin Fust Spring Fashion

Spring is my favorite time of year! I love to spring-clean and freshen up my wardrobe with key pieces and reuse some old favorite items as well.

My favorites for spring are bright colors, loose skirts, and of course, feminine dresses!

One trend that keeps on giving is leather. I bought a faux-leather jacket from Target four years ago, and I still wear it. Leather jackets are comfortable, classic and edge out an outfit in a snap!

Springtime is another great chance to re-wear and reuse the leather trend and refresh it with bright colors or short dresses. Here are a few helpful hints on how to rock this trend this spring…
  1. Pair it with bright colors. Corals and pastels are the colors for spring. They create a feminine look that will tone down the sharp boldness of the leather jacket.
  2. Pair it with a flowy top or dress. The structure of most leather jackets is very slimming, so to create a more wispy look for spring, try it with a sweet floral dress or a high-low look like the dress in the image.
  3. Jeans and leather — it doesn’t get any better! Jean shirts, dresses, shoes, and bathing suits are a big trend this year. So try your jacket over a cute denim dress or pair it with the classic white T-shirt and your favorite comfy jeans!

  1. nice, a leather jacket would look really cute with flowy dresses or tops. just to tone down the girliness. The jacket would also work with regular jeans and a t-shirt
