In our December issue, we featured some hot winter trends. Timing your trends can be tricky, but we’ve made it simple to decipher when and where to show them off. Here, Nicole shows us two different trendy looks for the season.
We love this first look for Nicole (above): a simple crop top and some trendy velour pants. At first this might seem totally ‘80s, but the high waist and loose fit on the pants with a floral print up top and statement necklace makes this look fun with a touch of elegance. It’s a great style for holiday parties or even New Year’s Eve.
Tip: Simplicity is key. Showing a small amount of skin keeps the look classy. (Think Taylor Swift with her high-waisted skirts and cropped tops.) This look pairs well with flats or a small heel to dress it up.

For a daytime, more casual outfit, Nicole is right on trend with this second look. Here, we’ve incorporated cute yoga leggings with a simple sweater and a cool vest. Boots and a necklace take this look from errand-running to lunch with your gal pals.
Tip: Try incorporating unconventional items such as your workout gear with other trends. Save money and time by mixing different items in your closet.
