This season and Valentine’s Day, let your lips be one of your best accessories. Rose Leathers, makeup artist with Z Salon & Spa, shows you how to get flawless, kissable lips in just five easy steps.
1. Prep lips with balm so that they are smooth and hydrated before applying lipstick. Balm can also act as a primer, which will help your color last longer.
2. Line lips with a lip liner. Starts from the outer corners of the mouth and work your way in towards the center of the lips.
3. Fill in your lips using the liner. This adds more longevity to your lipstick.
4. Blend, using a lip brush, to help make the liner look smoother. Leathers suggests using a brush with bristles that are made from taklone fibers because they don't absorb the product, unlike other types of bristles.
5. Apply lip color over the liner using the lip brush.
