American
country music singer-songwriter Lee Ann Womack is perhaps best known for her
beautiful and inspiring ballad “I Hope You Dance” (2000), which sold over 3
million copies. In 2002 Womack won a Grammy Award for her duet “Mendocino
County Line” with fellow Texan Willie Nelson. In 2005, Ms. Womack received
multiple CMA awards including Album of the Year (“There’s More Where That Came
From”), Single of the Year (“I May Hate Myself in the Morning”), and Musical
Event of the Year for her “Good News, Bad News” duet with Country legend George
Strait. In 2014 Womack released “The Way I’m Livin’” on Sugar Hill
Records. Womack’s artistic trademark is her old
fashioned-styled country music songs, often written about cheating and lost
love.
