Derby Party Wear — Here's the Scoop

Derby parties during the day are one thing, but for evening events, only bold and beautiful will do.

Two of my favorite trends this year so far are...
metallic and a bold cobalt blue, and both look stunning as evening attire.

When dressing for the Derby’s most prestigious events, every girl wants to stand out, and these two colors will have you feeling like the belle of the ball. If you’re still searching for that special dress, I have found that Macy's has amazing collections in every price range. Pairing each color with a simple strappy shoe will keep the dress as the focus.

My favorite out of the dresses above is the gorgeous Ralph Lauren metallic gown. The classic cut and body contouring shape fits the feminine figure perfectly. Then add the fashion-forward metallic texture and color, and you will be show-stopping.

If you would rather keep it short, the bold cobalt color and cap sleeves of the stunning Xscape dress won me over. The feminine cut keeps the bold color in check while the short hemline keeps things interesting.

Derby comes around once a year, so dare to be different!
