Farm Food and Sudoku: This Winner Keeps Surprising Us

Today's Woman Now

Sarah Fritschner, the Food/Entertainment winner for Most Admired Woman 2014, might surprise you with a few things. While she strives to keep Louisville beautiful and productive with her work coordinating the Louisville Farm to Table program, Sarah also has a family and sometimes just eats popcorn or cereal for dinner. Working hard at a career and raising her family, Sarah finds a few other things relaxing. Read more to get to know her behind the scenes!

“Cooking is relaxing for me, but I don’t retreat to the kitchen to find relaxation,” Sarah says. “I love my work. It gives me an incredible amount of joy, and there’s a lot of it that I find relaxing. But at the end of the day, or the end of the week, I am tired, so at that point I do Sudoku so I can just cut it off because otherwise I will continue into the late hours of the evening. Also I read a little bit, I horseback ride a little bit, and I love gardening. I don’t grow food. I grow flowers and shrubs, and lot of weeds too. Sometimes what I’ll do is work in the yard all day, get cleaned up, and then to reward myself I’ll go buy a plant.”
