Cheryl Lowe, founder and Headmistress of Highlands Latin School, loves a challenge. The winner of Most Admired Woman 2014 in the Education category says she enjoys teaching Latin and chemistry. “Anything that's a challenge to explain” is what keeps this inspiring woman going and stretching herself for the better. While she works hard at school, Cheryl likes to relax at home in her spare time, which includes watching basketball!
“I really enjoy all of those British productions on PBS, and I love Turner Classic Movies,” she says. “I also like to cook. We just built a new house in Bardstown, and we had my husband’s widowed sister-in-law come to live with us – she has Alzheimer’s – and also another family member is living with us too. So now I have four people in the house, and I enjoy going home and having somebody there that I need to cook for. We’re also big University of Louisville fans. We don’t always get up here to the games, but we do watch a lot of basketball.”

Congratulations mom! In my book you've won this award for 39 years in a row. Of course I am a little biased.
